The 10+ Best Baklava Shops (All of Türkiye)

In putting this list together, I personally tried the standout baklava shops in various cities across Türkiye, mostly in Istanbul. The ranking is based entirely on my own palate, my observations and the experience I’ve gained again and again. In my assessment, my priority was always the flavor of the baklava, meaning the quality of the pistachios, the thinness of the pastry, the balance of the syrup and overall craftsmanship. After that, I took value for money and quality of service into account.

By these criteria, the first 5 places on the list are, in my view, the best that come to mind when you think of baklava in Türkiye. The ones after the top 5 may not be at the very top, but they are baklava shops whose flavor I liked, that I’d happily go back to, and that I can recommend with peace of mind.
